Perry Planning Officials Send Sign Issue to City Council

by Managing Editor

City Planning Commission members split evenly 2-2 on a recommendation vote as to how to further restrict subdivision signs. They did agree, however, to send the issue to the City Council. Despite their differences in opinion, cordial and friendly discussions continued throughout the meeting. The members also demonstrated new parliamentary procedures, as recently trained by City Administrator Duncan Murray. This is not normally seen in our local communities.

A statement was noted by Planning Commissioner Harlan that the (Perry) people would like to know that their government is restrained appropriately. That was a comment in response to Planning Commission discussions on another topic.
