Retirement Open house for Shanna Edwards

After 55 years of working for Harrisville City, Shanna Edwards, is now retiring from being Planning Commission Recorder and Project Management Recorder. She will continue as a City Historian on a volunteer basis. Edwards has given her time and talents in a variety of ways.

According to Harrisville Mayor, Bruce Richins, “She (Edwards) has a vast knowledge of the past growth the City has experienced.  So much wisdom.  It will be very difficult to replace her.  I rely on her expertise very much.”

An open house will be held in Shanna Edwards’s honor at the Harrisville City Cabin, located at 725 West Harrisville Road, on Monday, January 30, 2017, from 2-4 p.m.  If you would like to wish her well, you may do so at sedwards@cityofharrisville.com.

Applications are now being accepted for the community garden plots.  The plots are 8x8 raised bed plots located on the east side of the City Offices.  There is no cost, but applications must be made in person during regular business hours.
