Every state is known for its own virtues and vices. But harmful behavior on the individual level can result in staggering economic costs, considering that gambling addiction costs the U.S. $5 billion per year and smoking costs dwarf that with over $300 billion per year.

With Mardi Gras coming up and sure to be full of drinking, drug use, and sex, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2018’s Most Sinful States along with its Mardi Gras Facts - Booze, Floats, Money & More infographic. To determine where the U.S. has the most moral growing to do, WalletHub compared the 50 states based on seven sinful behaviors: anger and hatred, jealousy, excesses and vices, greed, lust, vanity and laziness.

Here are some highlights from the report:

Sinfulness of Utah (1=Most Sinful; 25=Avg.)

  • 46th – Anger & Hatred
  • 30th – Jealousy
  • 50th – Excesses & Vices
  • 44th – Greed

HOUSEHOLD

Premieres New Album

Everything A River Should Be

on Substream Magazine

Out February 23rd via Equal Vision Records

Now Available for Pre-Order

"You can hear at times on the record where Gilbert is drawing

from a deep, personal, and incredibly vulnerable place.

This can be a daunting task as an artist, but a cathartic one to

experience as a listener." - Substream Magazine

Named One of Alternative Press'

"18 Artists To Watch In 2018"

Minneapolis, MN - February 21, 2018 - Minneapolis natives Household are thrilled to be streaming their forthcoming album, Everything A River Should Be, in full via Substream Magazine. Previously featured on Alternative Press, and named one of the site's "18 Artists To Watch in 2018," Everything A River Should Be will be released this Friday, February 23rd, 2018 via Equal Vision Records. It is now available for pre-order at household.merchnow.com.

On the album, vocalist Joshua Gilbert shares: "After 2 years of writing, we're finally able to share these songs with everyone! It means the world, having a label like equal vision to release this album on. The songs reflect the spectrum of human emotion and the cost of relationships. I hope these tracks meet people where they're at. All we can offer is our experiences and Everything a River Should Be is our representation of this messy but worthwhile life."

Everything A River Should Be is a record that redefines who and what - and even why - the Minneapolis trio are. Anybody familiar with the music the band - vocalist and bassist Joshua Gilbert, drummer Matthew Anthony, and guitarist Nathanael Olsen - made before will immediately hear the shift in sound of these 11 songs. While the urgency and sincerity of the raw and visceral post-hardcore they began life making remains, Everything A River Should Be is a collection of dense, dark and brooding songs full of a tense, glowering atmosphere.

Lyrically, too, the album - which was recorded over the course of a month by Nate Washburn at Atlanta's Glow In The Dark studios - marks a change in approach. Not only is this the first time the band have really had any production on a recording, but Gilbert says he has never written from the heart so much or presented so much of himself - and his emotions and fears and insecurities - within his songs.

"The songs touch on some close-to-home feelings for me," he says. "It's much more of a personal expression of my own emotions - it's not so much a declarative thing, as some of our music has been in the past. It's more personal and vulnerable in a lot of ways."

The band will be touring in support of the new record this winter with Senses Fail, Reggie & The Full Effect, and Have Mercy. The run kicks off in Santa Ana on February 27th and concludes in Las Vegas on March 31st. For a full list of dates, please see below or visit: www.equalvision.com/tour-dates.

- Outburn (9/10)

Good Tiger had their strongest opening week to date with the release of their sophomore record We Will All Be Gone, out now via BLACKLIGHT MEDIA/Metal Blade Records. The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top New Artist Albums Chart, as well as #3 on Current Hard Music Albums. We Will All Be Gone is also currently #9 on Top New Artist Albums Consumption, #15 on Current Rock Albums, #50 on Top Current Albums, #59 on Billboard Top Albums, #76 on Current Digital Albums, and #95 on Digital Albums.

Fans can stream We Will All Be Gone in full via  Spotify, and it is available for purchase at metalblade.com/goodtiger. We Will All Be Gone has recently been heralded online and in print by Alternative Press, Outburn Magazine, Modern Drummer, New Noise Magazine, Cryptic Rock, and more.

Blending their influences in a manner that defies lazy classification sets Good Tiger apart from their contemporaries, imbuing everything they do with a distinctive sound and feel, and with We Will All Be Gone, Good Tiger have dramatically built upon their stunning debut, 2015's A Head Full Of Moonlight

Comprised of guitarists Derya "Dez" Nagle and Joaquin Ardiles, bassist Morgan Sinclair, drummer Alex Rudinger, and vocalist Elliot Coleman, Good Tiger has raised the stakes across the board - every track on We Will All Be Gone has a definitive character of its own, and none stay in a single gear, all of them dynamic and textured as they evoke various tones and moods. Tracking at Middle Farm Studios in southwest England, the band recruited producer Forrester Savell (Karnivool/Dead Letter Circus), and engineer/mixer Adam "Nolly" Getgood (Periphery/Animals As Leaders). "We worked with Nolly on the last album, we had a great working relationship, and wanted to explore that further in a more developed situation," Dez explains. "Forrester has made some of our favorite albums, and is someone we could trust steering the ship. Having self-produced for so long it can be at times quite difficult to let go, so it was important we found people we could fully entrust to help create the album we wanted to make."
