Also, check out this website https://www.shakeout.org/utah/ for information, videos, quizzes, and other resources to see just how prepared you are.

GREAT UTAH SHAKE OUT - Willard City Officials and Willard City Emergency Response Personnel would like to encourage every Willard citizen to participate in the annual Great Utah Shake Out activities.  Practice Drop, Cover and Hold On at 10:15 a.m.  The Fire Siren will sound at that time as a reminder.

Community members are asked to display a Colored Paper (Red, Yellow or Green) from their Emergency “Take Action Packet” in a location that is visible from the street at their home. Display the colored paper during the day until 8 P.M.   (Need a “Take Action Packet” for your household??? Contact any CERT Member or Sue at the number below)

CERT activities will include FRS Radio (9-11) and HAM Radio (Simplex 146.440) “Check-In” at 10:20 A.M. and 6:30 P.M.   All CERT members are encouraged to “Check-In” with their CERT Phone Tree Captains sometime during the day.

CERT members are asked to mobilize to Willard City Hall at 6:30 P.M. Come dressed in your CERT personal protection gear and bring your charged/working FRS Radio.  Plan to practice your CERT skills and participate in disaster scenarios. For additional SHAKE OUT information and activities visit shakeout@utah.gov.

We ask that each of us take this opportunity to practice.  We encourage you to think about and discuss what you would do for yourselves, families and others around you before, during and after an event such as an earth quake (or any other disaster). Are you prepared to take the actions you discussed?  The better prepared we are prior to any event, the better we will be able to handle the effects during and after any situation. (Don’t have a Family “Take Action” Packet?  Pick one up at the Willard City Offices)

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY!!!
