CONTRACTOR CLAIMS ISSUES WITH HARRISVILLE TOWING CONTRACT AWARD

After Harrisville City Council voted to accept the proposal of Let's Get Hooked, one of two companies that submitted proposals for towing services for the Harrisville City Police, Ms. James Elizabeth, who was representing Ogden Auto Body, emphatically stated that she thought there were some unfair practices in awarding the contract. Spokesmen for the City said that Let's Get Hooked was rated highest under the criteria they used, but that Ogden Auto Body's services would also be used.

CROWTHER VOTES AGAINST INCREASED FEES FOR DESERET INDUSTRIES

Council member Wayne Crowther cast the lone dissenting vote against Harrisville City Ordinance #410, which passed 3 to 1. The ordinance increases business fees for counseling services. Meeting Attendees were not aware of any counseling services in the city except for the Deseret Industries, which was reported to do some counseling.
