Pleasant View December Update

Mayor Toby Mileski wrote a short note to the Pleasant View Citizens, “Hello, I would like to thank everyone who voted in this last election.  I hope you continue to support your elected officials and the City as you have done for me.  I have truly enjoyed my civic service.  There are many projects that need to be completed within the City. Here is a list:

•        Construction of Rulon White Bl.

•        Construction of the Sports Complex and road/file for an additional grant.

•        Development of the Commercial Development Area.

What causes an Inversion?

Have you ever wondered...what causes inversion conditions in the Utah valleys? As high pressure builds into the area, the mid-atmosphere warms, while the valleys stay cool. This warm air acts like a lid that traps pollution from a variety of sources in the valleys. Expect inversion conditions to remain across the area through the next 7 to 10 days. More info is in the graphic.

Pleasant View City November Update

There has been work going on with six agencies (Pleasant View, North Ogden, Ogden, Harrisville, Weber County and UDOT) that put water into the storm water system that makes its way out to the detention basin North of 2700 N. just East of the freeway. This facility was built in in the late 90's for regional purposes by Weber County to accommodate growth and the storm events. This detention basin has been monitored fairly close; and recently, the gate was closed to see how much the basin could hold and what it would do.

First picture is before the gates were closed.
