Box Elder County--For an abuse child, it can be difficult to find things to be happy about. Their world can be a scary, sad place and it is hard to restore the child’s sense of safety and well-being. Thanks to Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A) some abused children can return to their lives feeling safer and happier.

B.A.C.A held their annual Christmas party at The Grille and Bear River Bowling Alley. The abused boys and girls who have been adopted by the group gathered together to see Santa arrive on a Harley motorcycle, eat breakfast, bowl, and enjoy a morning of fun and festivities.

“Staples”, one of the members of this organization and talk about the mission of B.A.C.A and their importance to the community, emphasized that the members of the group are there to empower the abused child to not be afraid and that they will be there for them as long as the child needs them. For some children getting their abuser thru the court system can take as long as three years! These bikers stand at the ready prepared to camp out in the child’s front yard, if that what it takes to ease the nightmares and make them feel safe at home. Each child has two primary contacts who keep in touch with them and is their personal protector.

The members of B.A.C.A undergo extensive training to prepare them to deal with abused children. They undergo an FBI background check and work in conjunction with local authorities to ensure the safety of the children. The bikers go to with the abused child when they confront their abuser in court. Each child receives a vest with the B.A.C.A patch, bumper stickers and gifts from the group. The bikers will come whenever and wherever the child needs them, including doing patrolling of the child’s neighborhood.

BACA Mission Statement

Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. We exist as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. We stand ready to lend support to our wounded friends by involving them with an established, united organization. We work in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children. We desire to send a clear message to all involved with the abused child that this child is part of our organization, and that we are prepared to lend our physical and emotional support to them by affiliation, and our physical presence. We stand at the ready to shield these children from further abuse. We do not condone the use of violence or physical force in any manner, however, if circumstances arise such that we are the only obstacle preventing a child from further abuse, we stand ready to be that obstacle, if need be.

The bikers stand by a strict creed and have chapters in covering areas throughout the State, including Box Elder County and Weber County. The children are referred by professionals or by individuals and each case is verified to be reported to proper authorities and found to be legitimate. If you are interested in becoming a member of B.A.C.A or have a child in need visit www.Bacaworld.org for more details.
