Spring 2018 Principal’s Message

We are pleased to announce that Weber High School has been accepted as an official International Baccalaureate school and will begin teaching International Baccalaureate classes and offering an IB Diploma to our students who complete IB requirements for graduation.

This is a very exciting announcement and accomplishment for Weber High School.  It is the culmination of several years of hard work and trainings by our staff.  It is also an exciting and wonderful opportunity for our students – as this could provide as many as 30 college credits for a student graduating with an IB Diploma from Weber High School!  There is more information available on the IB program here on our school website.  Simply look under the “Staff/Departments” drop down menu and select “IB-International Baccalaureate” for more information.  You can also contact your school counselor for further details about the program and its benefits.

As we approach the end of the school year, there always seems to be more and more happening and demanding our time and attention.  While it is a busy time, we encourage you to take time to enjoy the journey – especially those seniors who are spending their last year of their “required” education here at Weber High.  Enjoy these moments that you will likely remember for the rest of your lives – the dances, games, assemblies and fun times with friends.  As the final weeks are often quite hectic and stress-filled, enjoy this time leading up to graduation.  Prepare for your AP exams, end of level tests  and other “finals” and continue being WARRIORS!

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world.

The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!
