The Utah Independent American Party will hold its State Convention/Independence Summit on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Juab High School in Nephi.

This location was chosen due to the central location within the state and wanted to be fair for all members who would like to attend. Special guest speakers this year will be Cliven Bundy (known for the standoff with BLM and government agents), Shanna Cox (also part of the Nevada and Oregon standoffs), Scott Bradley (well-known 50-year Ph.D. Constitutional Scholar from Cache Valley and Vice Presidential Candidate in 2016), etc.

The party’s bylaws mandate the election of party officials every two years. So this year we have the state leadership positions up for election, as well as positions on the State PEOPL, Rules, Membership, committees etc. If you would like to run for any of these positions please send requests to either one of these four emails: Jason@Utahiap.com,danleedan1@yahoo.com, rhinehart.jclinton@gmail.com, gcduerden@gmail.com.

The deadline for emailed requests to run for positions will be on June 1, and nominations from the floor of the convention will still be accepted. If you would like to be a delegate, please email any of the same four emails up above, and we will be accepting new delegates in person at the start of the convention. For a copy of the bylaws please see this link:https://utahiap.com/constitution-%26-bylaws

The candidates currently running for positions are as follows:

-Jason Christensen for Party Chair – incumbent

-Clinton Rhinehart for Party Vice Chair – incumbent

-Dan Powell for Party Treasurer – incumbent

-Greg Duerden for Party Secretary – incumbent

In addition to the speakers, information on organizing county parties will also be given and disseminated, as well as information and resources to promote more independence within the State of Utah. These resources do cost money, and we will be asking for a $40 donation at the door which gets you catered lunch, our 200-page publication titled “Independent Thinkers Guide to Liberty” that has the US and State of Utah Constitutions, James Madison’s and John Adams advice on property rights plus a whole lot more. You will also receive at least one if not two bumper stickers. With a $30 donation you will receive lunch. With a $20 donation you receive our 200 page publication titled “Independent Thinkers Guide to Liberty.”

The Convention will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations are needed for the costs of the convention/summit. However we will not turn anyone away that would like to participate. All are welcome, please invite your neighbors, friends and, yes, even family.
